MoTeC ADR (Accident Data Recorder)

MoTeC ADR (Accident Data Recorder)

The ADR is a compact, rugged logging device that records the side, longitudinal and vertical G-forces of the chassis during an accident. The data compiled according to the specifications of the FIA Institute for Motorsport Safety can be used to gain a better understanding of the forces that occur in impact collisions and can be helpful in the medical assessment of drivers.

It is important that the ADR has now been included in the ADR program of the FIA Institute and that the MoTeC is recognized as an official supplier.

The ADR from MoTeC is maintenance-free because it does not contain any batteries and uses cyclical logging. Therefore, it is always ready to save data in the event of an impact, including data immediately prior to the deployment event. If the vehicle power supply is interrupted, the ADR's internal emergency power supply takes over the recording.

The trigger levels are configurable and an external LED can be plugged in and fixed in a prominent position to notify emergency personnel of a major impact before reaching the vehicle. For example, a flashing light can also indicate to rescue teams via television cameras that a G-Force threshold has been exceeded and that appropriate medical treatment should be initiated.

The ADR is a stand-alone device that can be used in isolation or in conjunction with other devices such as GPS, data logger or ECU
